The beginning

Faculty members of USC’s Exercise Science Department brought GOTR to Columbia, SC in 2005.   GOTR soon expanded with the help of the YMCA and several local schools.

Independent Council

GOTR of Columbia continued growth and was soon too large to be run as an affiliate council.  GOTR of Columbia applied for and received status as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization in 2007.
